Privacy Policy

Short version: the FilingForge app runs entirely on your computer and sends us nothing. The only personal data we ever see is the name and email tied to a purchase — and only so we can deliver what you bought and help if something goes wrong.

The app is local-first

FilingForge is a desktop application that runs on your own machine. The filings you download, the library you build, and the reports you generate stay on your computer. The app contains no marketing analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry, and it does not send your usage, files, or library anywhere.

We do not operate any application server that receives or processes your filings, library, or usage. The app only fetches a small public software-update file from a standard distribution host so you get fixes and new versions — that request carries no personal information about you. (Our website itself is hosted on a normal web host, like any site.)

What we collect — only when you buy something

If you purchase a premium Skill (for example, Concall Decoder), the payment is handled by our payment provider, Razorpay. To process that purchase and deliver it, we receive from them:

• your name and email address;
• the fact that a payment was completed (amount, time, and a transaction/payment ID).

We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details — those are handled entirely by Razorpay on their secure systems. See Razorpay's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

How we use it & our lawful basis

• To deliver your purchase (unlock/send you the Skill file).
• To provide support and handle any refund or delivery issue.
• To keep a record of the sale for accounting and legal compliance.

We process this data to perform our contract with you (delivery + support) and to meet our legal obligations (tax/accounting). We do not sell, rent, or share your information for marketing.

How long we keep it

We retain your purchase records (name, email, transaction ID) for up to 7 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting law, after which we delete them.

Watermarking

Premium Skill files you buy are lightly watermarked with your purchase email, to discourage redistribution of a paid file. It carries no tracking and does nothing when you use the Skill.

Your choices

You can ask us what purchase data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep for legal/accounting reasons). Email contact@alphaforge.cloud.

Grievance Officer

In line with India's Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, our Grievance Officer is Nandan Pugalia. For any privacy or data concern, email contact@alphaforge.cloud with the subject "Grievance." We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days.
